ATS was founded as a spin-off of the University of Siena on January 9, 2009. The business project arose from the desire of a group of researchers to transform their innovative research experience into an entrepreneurial venture, focusing on remote sensing applied to cultural heritage and landscape.
ATS received the Start Cup award, a competition established by the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, which recognizes the best high-tech entrepreneurial initiatives emerging from the research world.
ATS became an associate company of the Navacchio Technology Park: an integrated and structured system where the key word is innovation. It is a hub designed to foster networking—a network of high-tech companies that promotes effective collaboration between businesses, the research world, and centers of excellence.
