Al-Rabaya Mosque – Mosul – Iraq

Built in 1766, the Al-Raabiya Mosque is architecturally one of the most fascinating mosques in Mosul’s old city. During the war for the liberation of Mosul from ISIL/Daesh between 2016 and 2017, the building sustained severe physical damage, including structural damage. Due to its historical, architectural, and spiritual significance, the Al-Raabiya Mosque urgently requires rehabilitation and reconstruction. In Mosul’s current socio-political context, the reconstruction effort faces various logistical and operational challenges, which must be addressed through a holistic approach that integrates physical restoration with the social and economic dimensions of reconstruction and post-conflict recovery.

ATS carried out photogrammetric surveys and created a 3D model of the current state of the asset.
