Eshnunna was an important city-state in ancient Mesopotamia, located in the region of modern-day Iraq. Flourishing during the Early and Middle Bronze Age, it played a key role in trade, politics, and culture between Sumer, Akkad, and later Babylonian states. The city is especially known for its administrative records, including legal and economic texts, which provide valuable insight into the social, economic, and legal organization of early Mesopotamian societies.
